Mr Pulzone... Your car will hate you, it's gonna breath 110 degrees of pure shitty heat.

And fuck this, it's too hot in here.

yeah. we had the choice of going from a dig or a roll and with 30 cars, there was proper competition for all.

there were a few. one twin turbo cobra said he was bouncing the limiter at the half mile and said that worked out to be 175/6. two supras came out to play- one was ij the 170's and the other 180+. a couple a nice gtr's and i imagine they were near if not above 150.

The biggest issue with Deal's Gap is the traffic and the people that can't seem to stay in their own lane. For example, Mike and I went out to chase a C6 Vette convertable and the d-bag was crossing lanes during each turn trying to gain a lead on us. He ended up letting us pass half way through the run. When LB and I were coming back up the mountain, there was another Miata that was halfway in our lane as we came around the corner. When we went out to make our first run of the morning, another young kid in a Miata had slid into a Honda Odyssey during a turn. No one was injured but the miata was totaled and the van had pretty good damage to the driver's door. It's stupid shit like that, that kills people.

We were originally intending to head to Florida for the half-mile event but could not get parts in time for the Subaru to get it running and I don't want to rush things. So, the next best thing was Miatas at the Gap. I was hesitant on taking the Miata as I just participated at a track event with Shroeder a couple weeks ago and the tires had zero grip. It was the same case yesterday so we ended up just taking it safe as I didn't want anything to happen to her car.

At least you were playing it safe and smart. Last time I went was during the fall and weekdays and I didn't have any issue with traffic besides a few motorcycles.

We had those there as well. They're very stubborn and don't want to let us pass when they want to go 25-30mph on the road.
