I have 4 glocks (19, 20, 29, 36). I also have a few Springfields, a savage, AR15, Tech9, M10 and M11, a number of shoguns, a Taurus, a .357, 2 KelTec's, a Marlin, a Ruger, and some others.
Glocks are also one of the few companies offering a 10mm round. It is arguably one of the deadliest handgun rounds ever made. a hollowpoint 10mm round will penetrate a Kevlar vest, truck doors, car rims, and about 8 people at a time. (my daily carrys are Glock 10mm's).
im not going to say id need anything with stopping power like that... so ill stick with the looks portion...
i really dont need anything large at all... ill stick with the 2 pistols i want as of now a FN 5-7 and a 1911...
both have satifactory stopping power and the 5-7 will go through from what i remember it will penetrate a levelII kevlar vest
If you are in the position where you have to fire at someone, I'd rather have the ability to put their spine about 35 feet behind them than to put a non-fatal hole in them. I have a number of 9mm's and 45's, but many criminals are all jacked up on uppers and a 9mm wont slow that down much.

thats what I have, the 9mm version. Awesome gun, almost as accurate as my AR at 50 yards with no scope. That being said, there is one major manufacturing flaw with it. The hinge is made pf plastic. If you use it as it's intended and carry it folded in a bag, it will break. I had this happen twice. So, I machined a piece of billet alum. and made it a better sub-2000.

I've only dicked around with one 226 and it didn't leave me in awe. I just thought it was ok. At that time I had my Berretta 92 and the Gen 4 glock I have now- I preffer both of those to the Sig.

Exactly. I had played with a few Gen 3 glocks and never liked them outside of their reliability. Then Dad bought a Gen 4 G22 from Bacon and one magazine's worth of shooting was all it took for me to sell my Berretta 92 for my own gen4 G17. The kicker is I never fired it outta the box. I installed a Gohst trigger setup and the damn thing is about perfect now.
