    We are looking at a 47" LG for 700. We are getting an apartment so 55" is kinda big.

    LB and I just bought a 46" LED Samsung from Best Buy 2-3 weeks ago and love it so far. From what researched I've done, a plasma is good for dark rooms. The blacks will be a nice deep black but the screen glares a lot. They also have a tendancy to burn as well.

    IMO, the picture quality of the LED-LCD vs a regular LCD is a good difference to justify the cost difference between the two.

    And it was only ~$100 difference between the LCD and LED for ours too, so there's really no reason to settle for the LCD IMHO.

    The picture quality of a plasma was enough to steer me away from one. The LG we are looking at is a 47" LCD 1080p

    if your going with plasma, lcd, or led go with Samsung is what i think. if you going with 3d, go with sony or panasonic. havnt heard much on LG's. if its in a darker room, plasma will be best rooms but most of them are only 720p. then led's and lcd's are good for lighter rooms. and check out the screen type. if its going on a wall that the sun might have direct light to, it'll be best to go with a matte screen to knock down the crazy glare.

    i picked up a FN FNP-9 earlier today, hopefully will be able to shoot it saturday, seems like a great gun.
