I think I'm ordering an Exedy this time. I hope I can make it out to the meet this week. My clutch is almost shot. I drove it downtown, and it kept slipping. Foot completely off the clutch pedal, I hit the accelerator, and all I get is revs until 5k then it catches and drops down.

Yep its shot! I'm sure you have but I'll ask anyway, have you checked the adjustment?

I measured pedal freeplay, checked the fluid, clutch spindown time, and release. All fine.
I'm assuming my disk just has excessive wear. I can't tear it apart until I get a hoist.

I don't have a clutch kit yet, so it'd just be sitting in my garage.
The one I have in it wasn't new in the first place, so I guess it's time for an exedy. I found one for a 2000-2005 Celica GTS for $120 shipped, so I'm going to try to order it today.

Saw a Silver Cobalt SS sedan today on my campus, looked pretty similar to yours bryan. Only thing is it didnt say "turbo charged" on the back and it didnt have fog lights but it had the fog light openings (had blanks in the place.)

Yall need to try some of my pizziola or pizza

that was most definitely a pre 08 SS sedan then.. the 2.4L N/A model.. cuz all '09 SS Sedans were turbo.. and only come with a different molded fog light front bumper.. not black inserts like regular 'balts

It had a very similar bumper, but what was different?
edit: i see the difference, the older one didnt have a lip going across the bottom.

Cleaning up my garage took forever, but it's done and ready for the work. I'm not going to bother pressure washing or painting the walls until it's decided that I'm switching garages. Lakeside can suck it.

Just ordered an Exedy clutch kit. Hopefully it actually ships out tomorrow so I'll get it this weekend.
I had CelicaTech pay for it, so I can afford beer and pizza to whoever is coming to help/chill.
