    I know this may be a stupid question to some, but for me I really want to know so please no flaming.
    What is the exact purpose of a camber kit? I have my car lowered and have huge rims (if you can't tell by my sig), but I never got a camber kit because it's hard finding one for my car, but I never did find out what I am missing by not having one.

    Basically you get more caster/camber adjustment with a set of CC plates. Your factory plates only allow so much caster/camber to be dialed in. With my car I installed longer a-arms so my camber is way f'ed up. The only way I can bring it back in spec is with a set of CC plates.

    Civics are known for chewing tires after lowering them. You can put washers on the upper control arms on the rear to correct the problem. On the front, you need a "camber correction kit" to bring the camber back to a normal situation.

    Basically, the tops of your tires are tilted in, this is negative camber. If you have a bad negative camber situation, you are using about 50% of the tread section on your front tires, thus wearing them out faster.

    On a really really fast car, negative camber is needed to help it stick at very high cornering speeds.

    Gotcha!!!! Honestly I don't know if I have tire wear problems. This is because my tires are so thin I normally bust them before they have the chance to wear lol. But I guess I should check into if I need a kit for the front.
