Considering thats his daily driver, i wouldnt recommend it...especially since you're egging him to continue to push the limits of a stock motor.

Agreed. Making more power is fun, but when your counting hp gains on your hands and throwing safety to the side its not worth the risk. Not saying your doing so, but just something to keep in mind.

these motors have been proven to be reliable under aggressive use up to 9k. you of all people know i dont exactly pull stupid shit out of my ass without indulging in a fair amoujt of research.

That's crazy though...I'd have a heart-attack if something like that happened to me. I'm so paranoid about shit like that happening on the interstate. It's kind of the reason why I try and stay away from traffic. A huge rock did that to my dad's truck a long ass time ago. Needless to say, seeing that scarred me for life.
