As far as ACT, the subaru comunity loves them. The DSM guys love them. I find it hard to believe that the same company produces high quallity clutches for one car, and then they break aparton another car.
I've had bad luck with Gripforce, but heard good things about them elsewhere. Clutchmasters is nice but pricey. Its all give and take. We have our prefferences, but proper installation and beak in are the most crucial things...

had Exedy on my 600+WHP talon for years with no issues. It made a few hundred 1/4 miles passes, a bunch of street racing launches, and probably 50 track days (8 hour dumont track days). No issues

Every time I've meet up for the Newnan rollout, we've always got to the event ~2 hrs later so I won't be doing that again.

i realized i had pics of dads exedy clutch that failed on my fone still and decided to share:

you can see it didnt wear evenly and was starting to separate/disintegrate. eventually it would have completely given up but it was removed and replaced before that point. (another exedy oe replacement took its place) Again, this failure was due to improperly bled clutch system and no break in period... AKA installer/user error.

I think the reason you here so many "XXXX clutch failed drastically and XXXX company sucks!" stories is because it is a delicate process of installing a clutch and properly breaking it in.
In any event, I'm expecting a second exedy failure in the future. I doubt the OE replacement is gonna cope well with 370+wtq with my driving :crazy: Its gonna be a race to see what dies first: the clutch or the transmission. :cry: Soon you guys can call me Schroeder. hahahahaha

Napa- dying breed of old guys in musty stores but they have stuff that's hard to find...
My gpap works at autozone... Parts aren't as good quality... I've returned several things being broken
Advance is the same...
Carquest about the same... And you'd think they'd give me a discount or something for driving their old parts truck

Lifetime warranty at Autozone FTW. Replaced the alternator in the Focus six times now until I found one that worked great. Only paid for one :D

And Autozone is the only one open 24 hours in case you need something at night.

The only 24 hour Autozone in the Southeast U.S. is on Jimmy Carter. 85N to Jimmy Carter, make a left, drive 1.5 or so miles and it's on the left.
