Your tag is awesome too!
I love your Cobra as well, and I can't wait to see what you have planned for it!
Edit: Now back to getting on with my life, I'll respond to comments at a later time.

i want a new tag...
FAGNWGN :D
I want a cool tag. I also need to think of a new car to buy since I will be getting a new job soon. I don't have to settle anymore :D
My budget has expanded quite a bit now. Any suggestions?
a corvette. lol
idk.... what do you want??
Eh...I'm not a domestic kind of girl.
I just want some ideas. Anything, really. I had a budget of like...10k, but since I might be getting a job with my dad, I will be making A LOT more than what I am now. I want something that's fun and won't feel like a complete drop from the 911. I'm open to ideas :)
Oh, and I refuse to touch a BMW, so...that's out of the question.
Frankly, I like the kit on the miata.
I just didn't think the original owner's asking price was worth it.
i think you need wheels with a lil lip IMOQuote:
Bobby- I wish people would stop being nice and criticize my car and tell me what they think they would change. It might spark a new idea for another mod.
I think Bobby doesnt really need suggestions. I think he was just making a point. Afterall, he's done a damn good job with the car up to this point (unlike some of you, i've seen it from day one and know what it came from to where it is now.....)
still think it needs a lip on the wheels
'05-'06 Benz E55 AMG Sedan Roxie?
Sick cars and you can get them in the 20's.
Cobra guy I know that is selling his--->

I've actually considered some AMG models. I have to look into it more though.
look at maint costs and insurance too roxie. No sense buying a car, making monthly payments, paying alot for insurance, and then the routine maintanence (brakes, tune up, alternator replacement, fuel pump, whatever..) on top of that could seriously break the bank...
If your in a situation to make as good of money as you say, it might be worth your while to get a little less exciting of a car and focus on getting your own house or something???
just a thought.
Sweet cars pull mad dicks
Oh trust me, I have living expenses and everything else factoring into this as well. As I said, I'm just taking suggestions (whether they be out of my range or not) to kinda see what exactly I want AND what will work for me. The 911 kinda helped put maintanence into perspective for me. I am trying to avoid German cars for that very reason.
i'm going to 15x10
working out the details with a company.
the flares are staying, the color changing
todo build list:
frame rails
butterfly brace
door bars
roll bar
FM turbo kit
MSPNP management
adjustable upper control arms for camber
my car is more to the style that club roadster follows. I like the car and i think it gave a great base for great add-on's
started working on the parts:
NB sport brakes
carpet
looking for a good 6 speed trans
updated the cooling system
bobby you are right, I will change almost everything about the car but its makes for a better project than a bone stock miata and saved me over 4k in parts that someone else paid and installed.
its hard to find a miata with low miles and no dents with ABS and a factory hard top. This one has a new clutch and flywheel and no shifting issues or diff problems.
for what I paid for it there was nothing that could really compete in the rwd and amount of fun that i could have with it.
2cents
Varsity Thursday anybody?

Just cuz Car & Driver said so doesn't mean its guaranteed. lol
C&D tested them at 12.7 if i remember correctly. I was 16 the last time i looked at that article so don't hold me to it.
You could, but only if there's room in the fender well. On top of that, pushing the wheel further away from the hub increases the stress on wheel bearings and ball joints, not to mention the decrease in performance you have to factor in from added unsprung weight, and heavier rotating mass. The last point i'll make is the increased drag at higher speeds can inadvertantly hurt accereration on the top end....
I say all of this to show you and anybody else who might give a shit that there's alot that goes into building a car and you must be aware of the compromises you will make. This is just one particular item (wheels) now apply it to the dozens of things you change/swap out/ modify on your car and you'll soon realize that a well built car takes more than alot of money......... Some of us live for the build as much as the end result....
Lol, i get excited when it rains!!! hahaha
AWD has great advantages, but your statement might be a stretch for both Steves. lol I just need to learn how to modify my driving based on the drivetain layout.
No V meet for me! Don't have a ready car to take up there....and I work from 9-5 on Thursday.
I have no clue what they are tested at, I just know running 12s are simple in that car.
Well for me...
Anything will fit in my wheel wells
As for bearings and ball joints, people are running 35s and bigger on the stock axles... so my wheel tire combo wont be very heavy...
the increased drag at top end i really dont care about because my truck tops out at 108... im going for an autocross type truck... low with better handling
im not currently working on a drag truck because id have to do alot of weight reduction...
but i understand what you are saying...
it like alot of guys do they change the thermostat to a colder one and the engine is not designed to run at a colder temperature...
and when they get rid of the clutch fan and modify the electric fan... well they reduce friction with out the clutch fan but they increase friction on the alternator but having the electric fan come on more
Sweet cars pull mad dicks
steve is right, I believe the handling would increase 10 fold with a little wider wheel for a 0 offset vs -36
Probably lol
But there's so many factors that must be factored in. Most parts worth having aren't right out of the box. They need to be tweaked, tuned, adjust, and compensated for.
This is why I get annoyed with so many people at various meets: they fail to understand how stuff works, and yet proceed to talk/act like they know everything. I was 12yrs old and learning how turbo systems worked, and what voulumetric efficiency was, or how compression ratios altered power, the difference between peak power and power bands, power gains at peak and peak power gains, and learning how to actually wrench on shit, meanwhile these douchbags were gawking at their friends Playboy....
