any D series head swaps.. and knew how much they paid for all of it.

Billy, don't take this the wrong way but I don't feel your in a position to request a loan as you have barely been able to hold onto a job. Sure, you were just hired back on with Domino's but honestly, the banks will have a hard time approving your loan once they see your work history.

How much do ya think its gunna cost to put a MPFI 1.5 head, with new piston rings in my D15B, and new head gasket?

I know I need ta get the head first, which should cost... what? $100.oo?

Then, new head gasket, and piston rings for my D15B... how much ya think thats going to cost?

Here is the MAIN question...
Do yall think $300.oo can buy everything to do the job? Complete head, head gasket, and rings?

head gasket: 50 bucks
rings: 50
head: 100-150

Sounds like a plan. But will ultimately depends on what time I get off work.

Do you have to pull the rotating assembly out to change the piston rings? If it's not evident already I know Zero about import engines.

On a domestic to pull the pistons, you have to remove the rods and sometimes the crank. Therefore you need to change all of the bearings on whatever you pull.

That's why I was assuming you'd be buying bearings as well.

No one has a MPFI D head for sale...

you just need a non vtev d series head. A d15b7 head should be eay to come by as should a whole running D15b7 motor.

If it was a rod bearing more than likely it would be rattling even at idle. I'm not saying they always do, but everytime I've seen bad rod bearings they've always rattled at idle as well.
