Inaugural Outlaw Street FWD $10,000 Shootout
Tom from YoParts came up with a great idea that the actual participants have expanded on. Here are the details of the event:
October 11 & 12
Urbanracer.com Fall Nationals
Old Bridge Township Raceway Park
230 Pension Road
Englishtown, NJ
$1000 Entry Fee - $500 Deposit due by August 31, 2008 (nonrefundable)
Paypal amounts: $505 via E-Check $515.40 via regular payment
$500 due upon arrival at track (please bring cash or pay balance via paypal 2 weeks before event)
For Deposits received after 8/31, the Entry Fee will be $1200.
16 car field – Pro Ladder (1 vs 16, 2 vs, 15, etc.)
All Qualify up to 16 cars (i.e. if there are 10 cars, will run a 16 car ladder)
If you don't make the field, you get $500 back and as long as you meet rules for SFWD class, can run elims in there.
Payout is based on actual car count, something like this:
65 % Winner, 20 % Runner-Up, 7.5 % Semis
For a 16 car field this would approx be:
1st - $10,000
2nd - $3,100
Semis - $1,200
Please note, this is a gamblers Race. Payouts are based strictly on car counts. If 16 cars show up, payouts will be above, if more cars show up, payouts will increase and likewise if less cars show up, payouts will decrease.
Each participant will buy a 2 day race tech card upon arrival for $100. It includes 4 crew/tech 2 day passes. Additional spectator/crew tickets can be purchased at the gate for $15 Sat, $20 Sun or $35 for both days.
3 Qualifiers on Saturday, Eliminations on Sunday
If it rains on Saturday, there would be 2 qualifiers on Sunday followed by eliminations (less time in between rounds)
Rules:
2500 lb min weight
+200 lbs Ecotec
+100 lbs Nitrous
26 X 10 Tires max
No Lexan, 1 piece front ends, Spindle Mounts, etc.
Car must follow same appearance rules as TS
72mm turbo max
water to air IC allowed
TS Fuel Rules
No Trans Brake for Auto (same as TS)
No wheelie bars
Catch Pans required (should not be a problem with participants)
Bounty Sponsors are allowed. As long as they are $500 or less, Englishtown does not need a cut. Anything larger than that would require Englishtown being compensated.
Other tentative classes being run are: SFWD, All Motor Street, Quick 16, Modified and brackets (this is TBD, per Etown)
Roger will be in charge of tech (as long as there is no Conflict with NOPI) he will be paid $500 for his services out of the buy-in.
I will be in touch with the track manager at etown frequently up until the event. I will see what else he is going to need from us as competitors and organizers.
Bounties – lets get some bounty contingencies in Place, here are some that I can think of:
#1 Qualifier (and other spots), Quickest ET, Fastest MPH, Best R\T during Elims, Best Appearing (fan vote), Closest Race ($$$ to both participants), Semi Finals, Runner-up, etc. and regular product contingencies.
Need to get the bounties in place so that Jenny and the speed lounge can get working on the flyers
