Default Inaugural Outlaw Street FWD $10,000 Shootout!

This was taken straight from honda-tech. Should be a sweet race. Would be cool if IA put up a contingency, or a bounty. Could be some advertisement for the site that could lead to more site sponsors!

Inaugural Outlaw Street FWD $10,000 Shootout
Tom from YoParts came up with a great idea that the actual participants have expanded on. Here are the details of the event:

    October 11 & 12

    Urbanracer.com Fall Nationals
    Old Bridge Township Raceway Park
    230 Pension Road
    Englishtown, NJ

    $1000 Entry Fee - $500 Deposit due by August 31, 2008 (nonrefundable)
Paypal amounts: $505 via E-Check $515.40 via regular payment
$500 due upon arrival at track (please bring cash or pay balance via paypal 2 weeks before event)

For Deposits received after 8/31, the Entry Fee will be $1200.

    16 car field – Pro Ladder (1 vs 16, 2 vs, 15, etc.)
All Qualify up to 16 cars (i.e. if there are 10 cars, will run a 16 car ladder)
If you don't make the field, you get $500 back and as long as you meet rules for SFWD class, can run elims in there.

Payout is based on actual car count, something like this:
    65 % Winner, 20 % Runner-Up, 7.5 % Semis
For a 16 car field this would approx be:
    1st - $10,000
    2nd - $3,100
    Semis - $1,200

Please note, this is a gamblers Race. Payouts are based strictly on car counts. If 16 cars show up, payouts will be above, if more cars show up, payouts will increase and likewise if less cars show up, payouts will decrease.

Each participant will buy a 2 day race tech card upon arrival for $100. It includes 4 crew/tech 2 day passes. Additional spectator/crew tickets can be purchased at the gate for $15 Sat, $20 Sun or $35 for both days.

3 Qualifiers on Saturday, Eliminations on Sunday
If it rains on Saturday, there would be 2 qualifiers on Sunday followed by eliminations (less time in between rounds)

    Rules:
    2500 lb min weight
    +200 lbs Ecotec
    +100 lbs Nitrous
    26 X 10 Tires max
No Lexan, 1 piece front ends, Spindle Mounts, etc.
Car must follow same appearance rules as TS
    72mm turbo max
    water to air IC allowed
    TS Fuel Rules
No Trans Brake for Auto (same as TS)
    No wheelie bars
Catch Pans required (should not be a problem with participants)

Bounty Sponsors are allowed. As long as they are $500 or less, Englishtown does not need a cut. Anything larger than that would require Englishtown being compensated.
Other tentative classes being run are: SFWD, All Motor Street, Quick 16, Modified and brackets (this is TBD, per Etown)
Roger will be in charge of tech (as long as there is no Conflict with NOPI) he will be paid $500 for his services out of the buy-in.

I will be in touch with the track manager at etown frequently up until the event. I will see what else he is going to need from us as competitors and organizers.

Bounties – lets get some bounty contingencies in Place, here are some that I can think of:
#1 Qualifier (and other spots), Quickest ET, Fastest MPH, Best R\T during Elims, Best Appearing (fan vote), Closest Race ($$$ to both participants), Semi Finals, Runner-up, etc. and regular product contingencies.
Need to get the bounties in place so that Jenny and the speed lounge can get working on the flyers

We would need someone with a 9 second honda to go up there and represent, thats the only problem, there is only a couple of them on the boards. I believe.

What are some specs on your setup? Turbo, tire size, transmission? Looks like a nice setup in your avatar.

I can boost up to 65lbs on my Innovative 72mm, I run 24/10 slicks on 13" Bogarts, Liberty 4 speed spooled sequential tranny with boost builder on the clutch, and line lock. I run an Aeromotive A2000 with 8 1600cc injectors, pretty much everything you can do to a car for 55k in the motor. I launch at 8k and shift at 13k can can run in the 8.9's. If you want to come take a look at it feel free to come down to Macon and go for a ride with me. Ask some of the people on here who have seen it and those who rode in it and they will tell you it is a short changing experience. Let me know what ya'll might want to do.

ok well now that you explained that, we know that it won't run those numbers. Thanks and try again. There is no such thing as a 24 x 10 slick, and its just not possible at this point in time to run even close to an 8.90 on a 24.5" tire. I'm not even gonna get into your make believe sequential tranny. 55k in the motor???, theres people that have $50-$60k in their whole honda hot rod chassis car and run consistent 8.30's. I don't know if you know who you are talking to but I and a few other people on here DO know what we are talking about when it comes to racing all the Drag classes you can build a honda for so just go ahead and save your face there.

B/c no one makes a sequential tranny for a honda maybe Gforce, maybe. Even then it isnt a full sequential trans. There are a few companies that make DOG BOX gearsets with straight cut gears. They still require the use of a clutch unless you have some kind of ignition inturrupt. I am curious to as to what kind of map sensor you are running that would allow you to run 65psi of boost much less 70. Guys making 1000whp( and actually getting that much power down the track) arent getting the cars to hold over 46psi going down the track. Some are now resorting to CO2 to try to fix the problem. Running 8's wont happen on a 24.5" tire. People may be able to vouch for the power that it makes but no one(knowledgible) will believe the track times.

It might be a beast and the guy might be kool, but a sequential tranny? Maybe a dog box, and where are the pics, lets see this chassis because no street chassis on 24's(especially) will do it. an innovative 72mm hasn't exactly been known for its mighty power on a honda.

is the car making over 800? maybe. Is it running 65 psi, NO. is it running 8's, NO.
Is it a fast street car, Probably.

Felix really is getting his car dialed in but there are some guys certainly keeping their status on the down low. They have quite a bit of time to get faster too! The NRGtech car is just sick.

Ive seen pics of the car, when it was on Ebay. There is no way this car runs 8sec and when i Pmed him asking, he stated that the previous owner told him it did!

As far as the tranny, looks stock to me!

Also 65lbs on a 3 bar map sensor!! ive never seen that done before!! LOOK TOP LEFT OF PIC, and im suprised a Blaster Coil hold that much spark!

Come on now.Its just the stock case.He swaped the internals. You guys should know that. And that car could easily do 8.90 at the track I have a GEO tracker with a cummings running 1,000 psi and doing a 1/4 in 4.25 with 33's on it.Grsturobteg tell these guys where its at.I know you have had this car at the track tons of times since you got it and put down 8's all day with your 8 1600 cc injectors and all.

oK, i Know the liberty gears can be swapped out in the stock casing, But the way he made it sound was like he had some bad ass tranny that was diffrent. 2nd of all im not saying the car cant do 8.90, im saying it hasnt. Show me a video with this car running 8.90 in the way its set up right now and ill shut my mouth, and it dont take 8 1600cc injectors to make the power that car is making, we make it with 4 only, You can bench race all day and try too clow smoke up are asses, but all of us that have built cars know the truth!!

And what track has this been ran at? i know not Reynolds, i have friends that live all thru florida and this car has never been seen at a track that they can recall.

Their are 2 guys that are the fastest, Felix Medina & Tony1, know if u think your car can run 8s **** lets setup a money race, im sure they will be all for it!!! Until keep Dreaming!!!

Wow dood What I said was a joke to call out Gsrturboteg.I hope you are as big a tool as him to think that a car can handle 1000psi.I know the guy andhe just tells you guys what he was told.Maybe its bad on him for believeing all that BS but comeon those claims are outlandish.I have ridden in the car.It has a standard trans that shifts just like a standard H pattern.I dont have a turbo car and what I have could only do 8 in a quater if it was on the back of a jet.
