I'll try to make it out there guys. It all depends on my work schedule which I, lazily, have not yet picked up. You would think Best Buy would have online schedules by now.

I have always wanted to have a meet at a rest area off an interstate. Meet up, cook out since they most always have grills, then cruise the highway back home. I know there is one on 85 South, heading South from Mall of Georgia before 985 merges in.
I tried an ae86 meet at Atlantic Station before. I absolutely loved their huge parking decks for a meet. There isn't much to do other than look at cars though. There is a high-dollar (but very good) sushi joint there. We didn't get hassled at all and we basically had as much space as we wanted to ourselves.
I'd propose Atlantic Station as a future meetinng spot in the downtown area. I'm also not so familiar with the rest of downtown so lets hear some more suggestions!!!
atlantic station would be cool, especially for the guys here in the southside.

there's one hachi being sold in here for $600. its sr5, stickshift, the paint is faded but it runs. i would say its a 5 or 6 on a scale from 1-10. if u want it just let me know i can give this guy a call but if u dont thats cool.

Wow... usually people buy the Cobalt or the Camry so they can stop driving their ae86!! Even with the best built and maintained car, it's still over 20 years old and things eventually will go wrong.
Noone has any other suggestions for good meeting spots downtown? How about Turner field, unless they gate all their lots? There is a KFC or Churches or something right across the street. We may get kicked out if we have too much of a gathering though.
I would be thrilled to go back to Atlantic Station. We could do the Varsity meets but that is too many people in one place IMO.
I remember back a few years when we would meet up at Batlground when it was in that complex off 85 / Buford Highway. That was fun to watch the street races. It was a pretty cool location too since it was a loop and noone had to drive straight back to the start line.
well my friends mom bought the cobalt cause she needed a new car and he was reading deeply into them and convinced her to buy it and then he started driving. he was planning on trading it for an 09 turbocharged model but gave up on that and decided to get something worth investing into

As far as I know, but I wouldn't mind meeting at Atlantic Station. From what Russ has posted, it seems like a really nice location. --good place for pics too. It's probably about halfway in between for both northside and southside parties, as well.

If you guys are looking for a place to meet, with good parking and some good food, i'd recommend RuSans (sp?) in Buckhead... you can have your cars and sushi.

Not to mention that the "info" in your 1st post is just a bit vague. Have you been to Atlantic Station? It's pretty big and has a bunch of parking areas...telling people to just show up and not have a plan is going to confuse the sh!t out of everyone. For this week, you should have it at the normal place rather then try to complicate things.

Yeah I wasn't necessarily saying lets do Atlantic Station this Thursday, but in the future where it will be easier to get everyone, including the guys South of Atlanta to get together.
I'm still down for Satellite Sonic this Thursday, or wherever.
I will plan to scout out the parking deck and try to give the best directions I can to the parking spots I deem to be the most reasonable and out of the way from the normal Atlantic Station traffic.
We dont really have a 'normal' place. We've only had 1 meet and I think somewhere downtown would be much better for everyone. I guess it's still up for debate.
