"Sir" should be in quotation marks.
"Were" should be "was" as it is referring to a singular object.
The sentence "Other than that, nice, amateurish own" should be "Other than that, nice amateurish own". The reason for this is that "Other than that amateurish own" does not make sense; removing the "nice" part must still result in a correct sentence, which it does not.
