This sort of reminds me of something I've thought of for a while. That is, do people in Japan think USDM is the way to be a badass? Like owning a 69 Camaro SS over there would be like owning a GT-R Skyline R34 over here, or doing other USDM things like left hand drive swaps. Probably not, I'll bet they just laugh at the crappy de-powered American versions of their cars.

actually more japs like our factory body kits than you would think. i guess it has to do with it not being stock on there cars.

Your actually sorta right, alot of Japanese folks like the american muscle cars, vette's, comaros ect....

Yeah Japs do like American muscle. My uncles friend had a business selling American car parts over seas, like JDM parts here, and yeah JDM styling most now here really isnt Japanese styling, but more like Cali style.

I am going to order parts next week. Skunk2 Pro Series Mani, ebay header, short throw, clutch and flywheel. Skunk2 Cam gear, and Skunk2 Test pipe.

Thank god I remebered the money I still have from my wreck last year.

I'm confused, what is a cam gear going to do for you with a stock cam? That doesn't make sense to me. And yeah, definitly custom/ebay a test pipe. Why pay 60 bucks for a peice of tubing with some flanges on it?? I'd go with an Ebay one, just because it's easier than custom, in the fact that you wont have to find 2 flanges, a welder, piping, and a bung.

you can prob still get more power out of the stock cam, not much but some. plus it could be a supporting mod for a future mod

Aftermarket cam gears = looks.

While they aren't as useful on the ol' SOHCs, if you get a new cam then having an adjustable cam gear is kinda nice if you tune it.

Yeah but you can retard timing with any gear

You can only go so far without having to pull the whole cam belt and dial the timing in again. The +- 5 deg gears just give you that much more room before causig a huge pain in the ass. And it is a pain in the ass. And way too time consuming for "at the dyno" tuning purposes.
