The 850 motors usually have problems with the canuter valve hitting the trezzel rod which (as we all know), causes a left handed smoke shift pattern. Faulty design.:(Quote:

Yeah as long as you keep the atrial ventriculator tightened to spec the Bimmer V12 isn't all that bad. Gotta adjust it every 25k and replace it at 100k.
make sure the piston return springs are good

The 850 felt quick when I drove it, not like OMFG HOLY SHEISE fast but it had some push.
Funny thing is the V12 is two M20B25's spliced together, yet it only makes about 300hp, whereas the M20 makes 170. Something's wonky there...Quote:

Yeah the 850 was a ***** to work on, but not THAT bad, but there was a lift, and every tool imaginable...and I did nothing technical to it lolol but yeah tight fit.
