Bad news guys.. Rusty blew the ZC to its death He accidentally went 5th to 2nd, overrevved, and BAM. He's pretty pissed about it.. I don't blame him. He just told me about this over AIM.

Hey Rusty, if you want to get crazy, you can help me fix my B16 tranny and the borrow my OBDI ZC SOHC VTEC (JDM D16Z6) until you get a OBD0 B-series. I think FF-Sean on NWP has jumper harnesses that will work for this for cheap. But if you kill it, you bought it (many have tried, all have failed to kill ths motor, so it may be exactly what you need). You can also scavenge parts from my original D16Z6 short block, but the crank is useless as it is minus a pulley mounting thread form when it died. The P28 pistons kinda suck, but they are in good shape.

did your motor really blow? If so Jhot has jdm type r motors............... or a jdm civic motor.

I'd hold off some OBDII fun just yet Rusty. You'd be better off with an OBDI LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC with a JDM ITR Final drive and valve train, and a Hondata s300 to make it run right. But that'd only set you back more than you paid for the car.........

I'm confused as shit, I hear from Simon it's a b18c, which I believe is one of the ITR motors (along with b18c5). See below (from wikipedia)

GSR's are the b18c1's, and have less HP but more torque.

In Japan the equivalent of a USDM GSR was the Integra SiR-G. They had the typical B18C we know as the B18C1. Also very similar were the Integra Si VTECs, basically an OBDI SiR-G. All of these engines get ~170hp/128lbft at the crank.

So, bottomline is that there is no such thing as a JDM GSR engine anyway.
