    July 22nd

You read right! Drift fury is offering up a free drift event to the first 40 drivers who show up and take us up on it at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA www.watermeloncapitalspeedway.com Thanks to Santa Willie! He is taking his payouts from NOPI Drift in Miami and paying your way in to drift!

There won't be any pre-registration for this event. It's first come first serve. If you come and don't get in, then I guess you are a spectator Which is also free BTW. If you don't like it...to bad..it's free

    www.nopidrift.com

-There will be no competition/payouts at this event although we will still have NOPI Licensing.
-We start registering cars at 6:30am, so be there or be square.
-It will be a single run only event (NO TANDEM and NO BANK PRACTICE)
We will drive from 8:30am until 7pm with a lunch break in between.
-Your car must pass our tech requirements, duh.

You can find out everything you need to know at www.driftfury.com

Hmm, sounds fun. Count me in Anyone want to meet up and ride down in a group? Might make the 3hr hike at 3am alittle less painful. Also, will there be a tire mount/balance machine available for loose tires or will I need to bring extra sets of rims with tires already mounted?

Current Toy: A few classics, maybe a few imports too. Whatever

We have a tire machine, but I would plan on bringing your own tires ready since we have to work the event and it is hard for us to change people's tires.

Oh ok, What if we know how to dismount/mount tires (I worked at NTB for quite some time doing it everyday lol). Would we be allowed to use the machine ourselves since you'll be pretty busy?

I wouldn't count on it. We don't really mind letting people use our machine, but every person who says they know how to use it usually doesn't until we show them. We usually just don't have time during our events to help people use it. The one time we did help someone use it, we got crap for it because "we cost people seat time". Not to mention if we let one person use it then we have to let all 40 ppl use it. It's not meant to be crappy to anyone. Hope you understand. Just be prepared. Some of the Maxxis guys know how to use it and if they don't mind helping you and they come, then you're in there and can use it.

We only had 16 drivers, but it was so much fun and everyone got more seat time than they could ever ask for. We had the track until 8pm and everyone was gone by 6pm.

Probably not. It wasn't that successful, so I guess no one appreciated it We only had 16 drivers show up.

Hell, me and my girl went down just to support my homie and I wished I had some type of rear wheel drive car just to take advantage of one of the open spots...... *Wonders if the dedication to actually being succesful in drifting is serious in Atlanta*
