Z rated is a speed rating... not a rubber compound...Originally Posted by rrutter81

why do u think z rated are higher speed ratings?Originally Posted by Dirty Mech.
are you stupid or ignorant... if the "Z rated" tire had a gummier rubber that means its softer... its the metal cords and kevlar and construction of the tire that allows its to sustance the high speeds.. high speeds also create higher temps, so again they have to withstand the softer rubber at high temps which the high temps make it even a softer rubber from coming apart... its not the rubber that alone makes the tire a Z rated tire... its the construstion.. you can have a Z rated tire that is hard as a rock and will last 60k but mostly they last much less than that...Originally Posted by rrutter81
