xbox 360 = 1080i
ps3 = 1080p

also most lcd's are full 1080i at 1366x768 resolution where as plasmas are 1024x720 or 1280x720 if ur lucky.

also if you can do math, 399.99 + 179.99 is not 480.. thats 580...

furthermore you'd have to be blind to not be able to see the difference between a 1080i resolution tv and 1080p. you can easily notice the pixelation in the 1080i. also there are ALOT of lcd's available in 1080p and alot of projections as well. Not yet plasma's as the ones that are 1080p are extremely expensive.

in fact toshiba has a 42" 1080p lcd u can get for under 2300 as does sharp.

yes toshiba has sold more hd dvd players now under 50k..

by the end of the the year there will be 400,000 blu-ray players in the US and more world wide. thanks only tot he ps3 add the standalone units and the market already has about 10:1 blu-ray:hd-dvd players on the market.
yeah im gonna agree here, i have a HP 1080i lcd tv, and i have seen 1080p programming, and i can definitely tell the difference....i = integrated, p = progressive, meaning you cant see the lines nearly as much as integrated. thats why i usually watch HD programs in 720p format, because it usually looks better than 1080i, IMO.
