they are NEVER even races

I am glad they are not even races... it'd suck. It's not a driver showcase where you have 2 even cars and see who can outdrive who. And it's not a car game where the most HP wins. It takes a combination of a lot of things:

* drag math - knowing what a car = in seconds in the 1/4
* driving skill - yes you can outdrive people w/ more car than you
* negotiation skills
* sandbagging skills
* tad bit of luck as well
* performance knowledge (estimating what the same car will do on motor vs gas)

I think that when it's slips up as stakes, then you ALWAYS bring an experienced driver. It would have been much more competetive if they could have dialed in their nitrous - but she did her best (I hope). There should have been better negotiations since her team knows Rustangs. The only time negotiations should be tough is when the platforms are not similar (FWD vs RWD, etc). All in all it was a decent episode... I would have liked it to go 5 runs though.

She didn't get much practice with the car (the car isn't hers), they had done a few runs with it, but not that much.

1 year. i was invited by pinks to race back in May. i asked Jeff @ prospeed if he wanted to head a team with me. he said yes so we chased sponsors build a car in 4 weeks and i practiced a weekend in the car.

things happen.... but the thing is I had fun even with all the obstacles.

She literally only had about 10 runs in the car with out the nitrous. Most of those were on Paradise which is a slick track and very little traction. Her first true run with the nitrous was on the show. The car came together at the last minute and Prospeed did one heck of a job getting it to where it was. I think a little more time in the car and she would have been fine.

nah man, cause see - my engine is capable of 700whp being sohc ( not that it is ) but tis has surprised many a folk who have ran bigger turbo's against me and I've pulled on them. But then it comes to if and when you do beat me. You just beat a 20 year old sohc car I win both ways

i just watched the 1 a.m. re-run and man....it was the usual bulshit you see on pnks. some dick gets ahead and wont give a little. i dont even know why i watch that show anymore. the negotiations are such bullshit. 2 cars could race heads up and give it all they got and finish neck and neck and some jew is gonna want 5 lengths and the other guy off the bottle.

thanks you all. It was fun. When I was invited to be on the show, i knew I would have criticism as well as support. Just part of it. I am not one to say am a good racer but I do know i have some work cut out for me. I love the sport and enjoy bettering my skills, achieving personal goals, learning more about cars and just being a part of it with friends. It was an awesome opportunity to be on PINKS and i am grateful for the chance to have the experience. As to the outcomec, I don't claim to perfect and don't expect my friends to be either. I made some poor decisions but it wasn't intentional and i did what i could with what I had.
