What type of bands do you like better?

IMO Some of the greatest hardcore/metal acts are christian, and like you said Hulud they are singing about what they are passionate about, and what they love. I can really respect people who devote their life to something, whether it be religion, charity etc.

I voted for christian music because most of the first music ever created was written by monks to spread the gospel. Fast forward a couple centuries and then people started writing operas about love stories which then evolved into the romantic era of classical music (not really bitching about girls but more aria type love songs).

People have always been writing songs about girls, i'm sure Sinatra even wrote a couple songs about heartbreak. BUT, bands that cant think of anything else to write about other than shitty ex girlfriends need to go expose themselves to some other lyrical forms . . .
