They should have brought Project Pat out. The audience would have been shook.

Im not. All the great Hip Hop acts we've had over the years and 36 get to represent the culture ?

I wonder if they did this type shit on purpose.. Just to throw dirt on Hip Hop. *shrugs*

man wtf are you talking about? how say they throw dirt on hip hop? these dudes have been doing what they do for over 16 years never changed their style and stayed true. if thats not "hip-hop" then i dont know what is. I'd rather see them win then some bojangles fake motherfucker like P-diddy or Russel simmons anyday.

No doubt about all that.. I fuck with 36 my own self. I have their entire discography since way back in the day.

But I find it rather odd that they are were THE 1ST RAP GROUP TO PERFORM AT THE OSCARS. It just seems like it was set up that way to give people the wrong image about Hip Hop.

You see where I am going with this? If not..

yea i do. i am more than aware that 3/6 was a lil too much for "upscale" white america to swallow. but the thing is that they won fair and square based upon musical talent not image. the funny thing is they won on a beat they produced not performed lol.

3-6 said they were approached by a lot of the actors there that were fans and they were thoroughly suprised. I'm actually proud man, 3-6 has been doin it for the longest and they never changed for anyone especially mainsteam media.

I remember when 'Tear da club up' was banned in certain places, you have to respect the fact that they never tried to be commercial but was still recognized in a way that no other rap group has been.

If anyone deserves an oscar its defintly 3-6, if it wasnt for them most these southern rappers you see would be out the business. 3-6 is classic, You have to respect there place in hip-hop and what they have done...they are the orginal innovaters of the "crunk music" and have done that without signing any big time record deals, or watering there music down.

Im a big fan of 3-6, got most, if not all there albums minus a couple. I admit there newer shit has lost quality and leaned more toward "crunk" but there old shit is where its at.

Listen to these albums...these are the best imo
