does anyone know what the turn around time is for sending ur xbox in and getting it back. I called on thursday when my xbox crash and they still haven't sent me the box i need to have in order to mail them the unit. Also when u send it off how long does it take for theem to send you a new one?
i don't know the answer to your question.. but i do know that the crashing problem is caused by overheating
From what I heard from someone who actually did it, the box you get should be an overnighter and they fix it and get it back out within a day or 2 in another overnight box. So should be 3 days if they get it in and right back out.
ask Nilly he bought my 360 and had to ship it off a week after he bought it
it usually takes 1-2 days to get the empty box when you ship it out they give you a pre paid mailing stamp...when you send it back they usually get it within 2 days also...takes them 3-5 days to get it fixed and shipped back to you so your lookin at week to 10 days

360 has been noted for several things. I think one person in Chicago has a lawsuit set out against Microsoft (good luck with that).
But I've seen things from locking up due to clock instability to... like you said before, overheating. Another one is the game discs are getting scratched. Microsofts reply to that was... Please do not move the console in any such way during powered on state. hehe... so much for showcasing it while driving in your ride huh.
I forgot other reports that I've heard. But this is just an example of over-ambitious marketing. Wanted to get theirs out before anyone else to grab that largest market share (christmas season). It just takes a few bad systems to ruin the rep of something new. I'm not an MS hater but damn... This is the worst system release I've ever seen. I mean come on yo... a timeslot for its introduction on MTV? for real though. hehe.
I hope they fix their problems... they're talking about a speculated 6million units sold by the end of their fiscal year... thats June 06. They've so far sold around 600thousand. Buuuut they just bought a new factory to make more, faster.
Hope ya'll get ya stuff fixed. Thats a lot of money not to have your shit running out-of-box.

Mine took less than a week. I got another xbox 360 back though, and wasn't too pleased about that, but it works fine.
