I think heat will win this year Defense and young legs.

Well.... looks like it's "everyone else" vs "dont matter" in the western conf finals.

not true at all. they are almost always one of the top 3 teams in the NBA man. every since duncan has come to the franchise, they've been a 50 win team virtually every single season. and coach pop has been the best coach in the nba for years...... no surprise here..... like i said, this is the series i wanted to see anyway

    s.a. vs miami......

Memphis was down 0-2 to CLippers and 0-1 to OKC. Not out of it, had plenty of chances to steal this game tonight. Spurs will NOT shoot this hot all series. I think Memphis still ties it up, winner of game 5 decides series.

Memphis doesnt appear to have an answer for the defense. I hope the spurs go ahead and put this series on ice in game 3.

Parker with 18 dimes.......................... If they dont find a way to keep Parker out of the paint, this is gonna be a 4 game series. I just want the Spurs to make it through healthy... in my opinion, THIS is the team that was built to put the Heat in their place. Theyre a little old, little past their prime.... but stylistically, the Spurs are the answer to the Heat....

George and Lebron going at each other is some of the best basketball i've seen in a long time. If the Pacers can steal this game, this is gonna be an epic series.

WEll i completely give up on this season. Just cant pick a winner. I figured it was a lock for GRIZZ vs HEAT but the Grizz disappointed me. The GRIZZ should be up 2-1 or down 2-1, now down 3-0.

Give the spurs credit, they battle all game.

I think spurs vs heat will be a great finals if Indiana faulters, but i dont see Spurs winning really, but, SPurs have weapons everywhere where as the Heat really only have weapons in the big 3 (RA and BAttier have been non factors)

I still feel the same way I always have, he's the best scoring PG in the game. It's sad that you don't recognize the work put in by his coaches and fellow players. The screens and plays they run are elite. When you have big men that can hit a open jump shot consistently, the defense is terrified to leave them open and gives you a little more freedom to work. He is elite, I have yet to see anybody say otherwise......

    finals will be great.

Best scorer. he doesnt really have to pass because his guys can create their own shots and he has TD.

I mean lets face it what the Spurs play is pick and roll and pick and pop basketball. Otherwise TP penetrates and either A) Shoots B) kicks the ball to shooters spotted up in the corners.

Im not so sure hes the best all around PG id still have to put CP3 above him. Rest of the NBA Agrees. CP3 got twice the votes

It's not about creating their "own shot" per say. The fact that duncan is a legendary mid range shooter leaves defenses terrified. Danny green, k. leonard, g.neal, manu, etc are GREAT shooters who consistently keep defenses honest. Imagine tony parker trying to run a pick and pop with blake griffin, lmao double team city! then he becomes 100x less effective, and imagine the APG drop.

tony is great. but something has to be said for playing with the best coach in nba history, best PF in nba history, and the best 6th man in nba history.

    Agree to disagree......

I'll take Parker over any PG in the NBA without thinking twice about it.

My "all nba" team would be Tony Parker, DWade, Durant, Duncan, Hibbert

Almost all the Spurs guys can penetrate, pass, and shoot. They arent Shane Battier and Mike MIller.

Hey, when TP is at his BEST, any team would take him.

    My ALL NBA team

    Forward: Lebron
    Forward: Kevin Durant
Center: Tim Duncan / Gasol (coin toss)
    Guard: CP3
    Guard: Kobe

If i'm starting a team from scratch i wouldn't. If I knew I had the best PF to ever play the game and they would play together over 10 years, then yes I would take parker. And if i knew the team would have the best coach and coaching staff in the NBA, yes i would choose parker then.

If i had no clue who the other players on the team would be, I would choose paul because i KNOW he's gonna do the best with that team that can virtually be done. whether its scoring, assisting, or being a great on ball defender when healthy. but honestly, when it comes to all the top 5 PG's, just choose one and you won't go wrong. and no deron williams isnt in the top 5, lol.... cause you can DEFINITELY go wrong with his over paid azz.

I just feel that offense from a PG is more valuable than defense from a PG. Paul is a great passer, great defender.... but a PG with the offensive prowess of a Tony Parker.... or Derrick Rose..... i think makes people lose more sleep than worrying about Chris Paul as a defender. As talented as Paul is, to me.... he just doesnt have "it". He's not the stone cold killer that Parker is. He cant put the team on his shoulders and carry them to victory. I know PG purest will loathe this statement, since assist is the "PG stat"... but ultimately, scoring will always carry more weight than passing to someone scores.
