I dont think a lot honestly. There are too many teams that just cant make the trades. Everyone is really looking at the cap and luxury tax next season, and what you have right now is haves and have nots.
You have people like the Lakers who , because of their big payroll over the last 10 years, have NO pieces left to trade really. BIG existing contracts NOBODY wants, everyone wants expiring. People like Rudy Gay who had huge overpriced contracts can only go to teams that are REALLY REALLY shitty with TONS of buying power. Keeping that in mind:
Celtics have no pieces to deal IMO. MAYBE Brandon Bass or Courtney lee, but i doubt it. The time to ship Pierce and KG off was 3 years ago, not now. They have a youthful core they will depend on going forward. Jeff Green will replace Paul Pierce, Rondo is their for life. Theyll go after someone in FA when KG and PP retire.
Clippers, why mess with a good thing. No reason to move bledsoe, hes too valuable as a backup in case Paul gets hurt. Clippers are SOOOOO DEEP especially with a healthy Odom and Butler and Billips. But they lack a real second PG, and Im not sure I would let Bledsoe go because you wont get much in return for him maybe a draft pick.
Lakers the only piece i see them moving is Gasol, but his trade value now is seriously diminished. AND PAU is a handcuff if they lose D12 in the offseason. They trade Pau for nothing, lose d12, they are in serious serious trouble.
Hawks, unless they get big time draft picks, Josh Smith is going nowhere. I wish they would trade him, but I sense they know he wont get a max contract anywhere else, no other team can afford to give him BIG money besides maybe the mavericks. Nets have the payroll so he could wind up there, but does he REALLY want to play next to JJ again?
I really dont see any big trades happening. Teams will do some minor moves, save money, and look towards FA this offseason
