MUST SEE UFC tonight!!! Diaz vs Condit!FOTY potential.
i feel silly saying "fight of the year" potential every time Nick Diaz fights, but it's really the truth. He is the most predictable athlete in all of sports, in the sense that he NEVER has a boring fight. This guy always brings it, never coasts, never slows down... most entertaining fighter in the UFC.
Condit is an awesome fighter... full of potential.... but this fight is like big brother vs little brother, Condit is what Diaz was 5 years ago. He's well rounded and does everything well, but he simply makes too many mistakes, he always tries high risk things on the ground and probably has a 15% success rate. It's sometimes frustrating to watch how much this guy gives up ground position.
Diaz is a black belt that submits black belts. His ground game is on a level above guys like Condit. When this fight hits the groud, Condit will be 1 slip up away from losing the fight at all times. Standing.... Diaz has one of the best chins in all of MMA. You're not gonna beat Diaz off a lucky punch, you will have to work for it. Diaz doesnt gas, he's a triathlete marathon runner in his spare time away MMA.
This will be a great fight........ but at some point of Condit trying to "weather the storm" he's gonna realize that the storm doesnt stop with Diaz and wilt under the pressure just like the rest of them.
