hahahahah damn. im a dawgs fan but they are sorry today!!
Yes it was said at beginning of the game if Georgia lost then thier season was done.
As a Georgia fan, I honestly can't say I'd be sad to see them go. Bobo needs to go without question, and Richt isn't far behind him. Richt for the most part has been a good coach, but I think he has plateaued with this program, we need someone else to take us to the next level. I've been saying that for the last 2 seasons, not just because of the loss tonight.
Boise will ride the hype of this win the rest of the season. They beat a rebuilding SEC team that lost pretty much every running back they had in the off season. Boise plays 2 teams with a pulse all season, yet theyll be in the BCS talks all year.
Because whether they play anyone or not Boise has proven they are a strong team and can play with anyone in the country. Kellen Moore was over 80%, 250+ yards... Not to mention he did so without one of his favorite WR's who had to sit out this game. Harper and Martin are some of the strongest tailbacks in the nation, and Boise has some of the strongest/most physical offensive and defensive lines in the country. Boise straight up outplayed UGA the entire game, even on a third string safety, and missing one of the best d-linemen in the country. Just because they don't play anyone doesn't mean that they can't.
Boise is a 3-4 loss team in the SEC at best. They can play with anyone on any day? maybe when they have 4-5 tune up games between every half way decent opponent. Boise couldnt handle playing LSU one week and Bama the next, then getting a break vs a team like Arkansas then having to play Sout Carolina.
Boise's schedule = 2 teams with a pulse and a bunch of tune up games. The only ranked teams they beat are other teams like themselves, pretender teams with cupcake schedules. TCU??? apply the same argument to TCU.
Florida is a way more talented team than Boise and look at how they struggle in the SEC
What SEC team plays GOOD teams back to back?
UGA's schedule:
Sat, Sep 3 (5) Boise State L 21-35 --
Sat, Sep 10 (12) South Carolina 4:30 pm --
Sat, Sep 17 Coastal Carolina 1:00 pm --
Sat, Sep 24 at Mississippi TBA --
Sat, Oct 1 (20) Mississippi State TBA --
Sat, Oct 8 at Tennessee TBA --
Sat, Oct 15 at Vanderbilt TBA --
Sat, Oct 29 (22) Florida 3:30 pm --
Sat, Nov 5 New Mexico State TBA --
Sat, Nov 12 (23) Auburn TBA --
Sat, Nov 19 Kentucky TBA --
Sat, Nov 26 at Georgia Tech
The only time they have less than 2 weeks between ranked opponents is between Florida and Auburn both of which who are barely in the top 25.
South Carolina's schedule:
Sat, Sep 3 East Carolina W 56-37 --
Sat, Sep 10 at (19) Georgia 4:30 pm --
Sat, Sep 17 Navy 6:00 pm --
Sat, Sep 24 Vanderbilt TBA --
Sat, Oct 1 (23) Auburn TBA --
Sat, Oct 8 Kentucky TBA --
Sat, Oct 15 at (20) Mississippi State TBA --
Sat, Oct 29 at Tennessee TBA --
Sat, Nov 5 at (15) Arkansas TBA --
Sat, Nov 12 (22) Florida TBA --
Sat, Nov 19 Citadel 12:00 pm --
Sat, Nov 26 Clemson TBA --
Arkansas and Florida are the only time they play any consecutive ranked teams.
Florida has the worst schedule in the SEC with LSU, Bama, and Auburn in consecutive weeks, but they are the only ones with a schedule like that.
I'm tired of hearing a team doesn't play anyone so they can't be any good. It's ignorant. Oregon doesn't play anyone, but they beat the shit out of every SEC team they played last year except Auburn, and that was just a poorly played game.
Florida is no where near the talent level of Boise. Kellen Moore will be in the top of the Heisman votes this year for good reason. Boise State has proven to be one of the most consistent passing games in the country. There was not a team last year who could do an effective job of shutting them down. There defense is on par with any team in the country, even on a 2nd string tackle and third string safety, two of their best players. In case you haven't noticed the whole conference system of college football is fixing to change, it's heading towards 4 super conferences. The SEC is not the powerhouse it was in the past. The talent level, coaching, and recruiting just isn't there. Heck there was as many players from GA on Boise's roster last night as there was on UGA's. The whole conference has slacked off. Heck, 5-10 years ago EVERY SEC team was ranked and in contention for the title, can you say that now? College football has changed.
The past? it wont be the past until someone else wins. SEC won last year.... and the year before..... and the year before...... and the year before............................................ ..................
Boise doesnt have the talent Florida has. Kellen Moore is a good QB that plays bad defenses all year, like any other team out west. Why do all those "AMAZING!!!" offenses suddenly come to a stop when they see an SEC team in the title? Sam Bradford's Oklahoma was one of the highest powered offenses in history..... until they met an SEC defense. Same for any other creampuff team from out west who plays thru a cupcake schedule. Oregon even managed to make Auburn's slightly above avg defense look good. Tim Tebow would have won the Heisman 4 times if he played in the mountain west. Ingram would have rushed for 5 miles if he was in the MWC, can you imagine AG Green being covered by some undersized scrub on a MWC team's secondary..... those creampuff conferences dont have the athletes to play real football more than once or twice a year. Boise's lines couldnt take the punishment of being in the trenches vs an SEC team every week.
its fun to watch those flag football defense teams put up 40-50 points a game vs each other out west, its cute football, looks good on ESPN.......
Thats not how we play football in the south....

1 team winning a championship does not make a conference as a whole great. Until an SEC team beats Boise you're whole point in every post is irrelevant. Boise already beat one of the highest ranked SEC teams coming in, PERIOD.
I'm as much of an SEC diehard as anyone, but they aren't what they used to be and no one can argue that. Just because in the past the SEC was the hardest conference in football doesn't make it hold true now. The teams are not as a whole as consistently good as they have been. I dare say half the SEC defenses are no better than any other conferences. Heck, there wasn't a single SEC team that impressed me in week 1. Auburn struggled with Utah State, Oregon beat themselves more than LSU actually beating them, UGA was embarrassed, until late in the 3rd quarter South Carolina was being shown up by East Carolina, Kentucky couldn't even put up a 2 score advantage of Western Kentucky, BYU beat Ole Miss, and everyone else played no-one.
one more for the road

Yes they lost to Nevada last year. Did you watch the game? They had won 24 straight up until that game. 2 missed field goals cost Boise the win in that game, not to mention the fact that Nevada played some of the best football anyone has ever seen that night. Nevada was also not a bad team. Lead the country in rushing yards on first down last season, as well as being one of the top defenses in the conference last year.
LOL I actually had a chance to play football for Western Carolina... turned it down due to landing a great job out of high school. Almost wish I would have played now, although their record has been embarrassing. Several of the kids I played with ended up there, and at App State.
It's something I know I'll kick myself for later in life, but at the time I felt I was making the right choice. Oh well, live and learn. I went to several App State games in the last few years, especially the App/Western game which is always fun. Honestly, some of my favorite games to watch are from some of the smaller teams.
Wow stereotypical SEC sack rider...i can admit the SEC is hands down the toughest conference in college football but to compare boise with the generic argument of "o they would only win this many and lose all these if they were in the SEC"this is the stupidest argument/defense you can make...the only reason the SEC is good is because of the recruiting areas they reach i mean they reach al, ga, fl, louisiana, hell even into texas these are known throughout history as the best football states...take UGA, AU, Bama and throw them out in BFE Idaho and see what kind of recruits and caliber team they have
put boise in the SEC and they would gain SEC caliber recruits instead of WAC recruits in due time then what would be your argument. Boise has proven themselves for the past 3 years, they lost to nevada because of a kicker. And since we are on the topic of making excuses for georgia, what is there excuse from last year the started what....i believe it was 0-3 right, were they rebuilding then too...to each their own boiise will be in the talks all year so get used to hearing their name and keep in mind they put it on "tha dawgs"

1990 Mustang Coupe...turbo lq4 through the glide
you're right, but it's this loss on top of boise on top of a losing last season and so on.
Murray puts up some impressive numbers. He's still got some improving to do, but overall I think it's the coaching. Bobo and Grantham are not on the same page. Richt is over on the sidelines looking less excited than somebody subjected to chinese water torture.
it's pathetic.

'99 NB - Bolt on's and stuff.
lol it's true. we could be tied up against florida playing for the SEC championship with 3 seconds left on the clock in the 4th quarter within field goal range, and he's STILL be on the side line picking his nose.
'99 NB - Bolt on's and stuff.
maybe he is a chronic drug abuser...maybe mushrooms so he is just sooooper mellow all the time lol
1990 Mustang Coupe...turbo lq4 through the glide
Shit if he were doing that at least there'd be a reason for it.
'99 NB - Bolt on's and stuff.
the question is not "why isnt boise state a legit contender?"... you answered that question for me. I'm simply stating that they are not. You confirmed and offered an excuse on their behalf.
At the end of the day..... Boise is Boise because theyre Boise.... and Boise is a pretender team in a bad conference.
To be honest, though, man, you're not making UGA (or the SEC) look any better by discrediting Boise State. By trash mouthing BSU and saying they're not worthy of anything, it makes UGA look like shit because they ARE supposed to be a "legit contender." They are supposed to be the big dogs on the field. So basically, a "legit contender" got beat by a team much less worthy than they. See what I'm saying?
But today, though. They aren't really doing it to it right now. After tonight, they're now 0-2.
People who feel the need to say "im not trying to be an asshole" are always assholes.
I'm not defending Georgia or making excuses for Georgia.... i hate UGA.... i'm glad they lost, i hope they lose every game...... but im equally disappointed that Boise gets to put an SEC feather in their cap for beating one of the worst teams in the SEC.
Boise's schedule speaks for itself...... me commenting on it is just stating the obvious.
Saying the WAC/MW doesnt compare to the SEC is not shit talk, its not discrediting Boise, insulting Boise or anything of the sort.... its calling an apple an apple and an orange and orange. Boise is a good team in an incredibly weak conference. They probably have the easiest schedule of anyone in the top 25...... theyre not a legit contender... and unless every team in the SEC loses 2 games... Boise should not be in the title conversation.
Im stating the opinion of almost everyone who doesnt have a hard on for these flavor of the month teams that spring out of weak divisions.
one step closer to Richt getting canned.
tonight was a win, win. Either we had beaten the cocks and gotten an SEC win, or in this case, we lost and that's another nail in Richt's UGA coaching coffin.
'99 NB - Bolt on's and stuff.
Bah, all I've heard all night was "See Richt isn't a bad coach?!!?". At the end of the day, whether it's a 1 point loss, or a 50 point loss a loss is a loss. Being a conference loss makes it that much worse.
Seeing as I HATE UGA though, I hope they keep him and Bobo. Heck, give them some contract extensions. Watching the UGA sideline is as entertaining as watching fish fuck.
I'll never know, I guess, why I try to make you aware that I'm not attacking you. You always have some sort of chip on your shoulder when it comes to me. Think of me how you will, I suppose.
I'm not one of those people. I have no interest in either team. I have no interest in the SEC, period. <--- being a "not being an asshole" asshole here. Later, QD.
Yeah, having 2-3 teams in the top 5 and 6-7 teams in the top 25 and a different team winning the national title each year doesnt prove its a good conference at all.
want to see a good conference?
Colorado State 1-0 2-0
