Just Cause 2
My friend let me borrow this the other day and I haven't been able to put it down. It kinda slipped under the radar with me. It is somewhat similar to Mercenaries if anyone has played that. Basically its a sandbox style game with a HUGE island to play on. The island contains cities, deserts, mountains, jungles, and everything in between. You can also high jack anything you want from civilian cars to military jets. The dialog and story are somewhat cheesy, but it is worth checking out. If you are bored during the summer or what have you this is a good game to play just because there is so much to do.
You work for a group called the Agency. You are at the island to find someone or something. The island is called Panua and it is ruled by a dictatorship. You are against the dictatorship and you work with 3 different factions throughout the game.
A cool feature that allows you to climb and jump from anything is the grappling hook and you also have unlimited access to a parachute. There are plenty of huge buildings in the game to climb and base jump off of. You can also use the grappling hook as a weapon.
If you like sandbox style games I suggest you check this one out.
