Stupid A** hackers need to stop ruining online gaming
So I was looking forward to a nice relaxing easter weekend full of spending time with the family and of course playing my ps3 online. It is now sunday, and the network is still down. I hope all of you B**** A** hackers responsible for this are prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Normally they are never caught much less prosecuted. i dont understand why anyone would ddos something like that. seems pointless to me. waste of talent.

We can only hope that all this rebuilding their network from scratch will result in a bigger, better and more secure network and we can finally enjoy our games without hackers, glitchers, laggers and the "connection to network has been lost. Lobby has been closed" ......

Sorry but there will never be a network that a hacker won't be able to get into. funny thing is the group responsible got hacked by one of their own members who spread all of their personl IP/MAC addresses across the net allowing people to have access to their personal info and locations. But PS3 owners and PSN users will be compensated for the down time PS+ members will get an additional free 1 to 2 months and non PS+ members will get the same package along w/ 2 to 3 free games in the PS Store. supposedly they (Sony America) are saying it should be back up and running w/in the next week. Especially since the rumor of launch last friday didn't happen due to them not realizing the extent of the damage to their servers so they had to shutdown and revamp all of the servers for US and EU
Also to say you're going back to 360 due to this, you don't remember you history too well. Same thing happened to XBL a few years ago and was down for about the same amount of time PSN has been down (PSN went down late evening on the 20/ early morning the 21st). So XBL is still at the same risks that the PSN has experienced and MSFT has already experienced. Also the hack into the PSN was due to the group getting a hold of a Developer's access which allowed them free-roam throughout the whole server system.
