Its about time that the NCAA wake up an smell the roses. Most division 1 atheletes dont go to college for a degree they go as a gateway to the pros. They think like this... High school, then college and then the NBA,NFL or MLB. A degree is just a perk for any talented player. How many players on the GA tech roster would have gotten accepted to tech based on academics????....maybe two that ride the bench.

Default Spoken like a true hater...

Negrodamus it is obvious that you are probably a Bulldog, loser or a guy who got pushed around by your school athletes. Georgia Tech has a long tradition of great academics and good athletics. The NCAA's goal to level the playing field with regard to Athletics and Academics has forced GT to try an equate its curriculum with that of your typical 4 year university with is almost impossible. For example a guy at Georgia can take Algebra for college credit while at Tech math starts out with Calculus 1. Tech does not have the curriculum to hide the "dumb jock" who just wants to go to the next level. You have to have a high level of intelligence to attend Tech and participate in a sport. I hope GT will appeal this decision because there was not deliberate intention to deceive the NCAA just a misjudgement of interpretation. Know the facts before making ignorant comments!!!!

Default Nittany... What are you talking about???

"Given D instead of C's?" What are you talking about? Or do YOU even know? In the case of Tech, grades were not changed. The NCAA's guidlines were misinterpreted by Tech's administrators, plan and simple. This mistake has given Tech a black eye but we will recover. I just hope we beat Georgia this weekend.
