They have strayed from the original storyline quite a bit. But you can't blame them, we all keep blowing cash to go see these so they keep making them. I'm not going to lie, I'll be there on opening night to see this just because I am a car buff and this is a movie for car guys. Stop judging the realism and just let the little kid that plays with hot wheels out to watch the movie.

I only watched tokyo drift and what ever the last one was called one time and I can easily understand this is a flash back to when Vin Diesel and "Han" were hanging out.

Well, since you can't go to a V meet without seeing at least two R35s, I am pretty sure a car movie based in the "present" in Japan would have multiple R35s, especially considering other F&Fs have had previous generation GTRs. Hell, the new F&Fs didn't have to have new cars, but then they would lose ricer advertising money by excluding them.

Tokyo Drift is supposed to be the last movie as far as the storyline goes. kinda like "star wars" was really the fourth movie of the series of books that Lucas wrote.
