^ Yea, trophies are disappearing, and so is some other content (Themes, backgrounds, etc....) so be careful about what you do w/ PSN if your getting the error.
Sony did say not to use the PS3 at all, because lost content may not be able to be recovered. Link

I did read somewhere earlier (don't recall where, or I would link) there is possibility that the problem could "fix itself" around 12am GMT (so, like 7pm tonight.)
