I know this can be done but I have forgotten how.
If my wireless router is connected to xbox via hardwire, can I stream media from my PC that is connected to same router via wifi?
if so how?
REPS for replys.

but i couldnt get mine to connect to my Windows media player.
but i ended up using Azerus(Vuze for torrents) to connect to my Xbox.. so if you catn get teh WMP to connect, there are other programs that you can use.
yeah the 360 shows on the "network sharing center" but not on Media Player, So I'm guessing I need to use a different program...?
prob so.. i never could get the wmp to work. But the azerus torrent downloader has a plugin to connect consoles to pcs. It works like a charm i really didnt even have to do anything. im sure there are more programs out there other than that one. But i dont know.. i hear it works flawlessly with windows 7 and the new media center.
Its easy, you can just bridge the connection.
Only certain media types are supported by the 360..
Make sure you turn off your Windows Software Firewall or the 360 might not see it..
Also make sure you have the latest version of WMP..
Finally, you'll need to allow the media to be shared in WMP to the 360.. under sharing you should see the 360 and then click allow. there are guides out there just google.![]()
i believe they updated the 360 software so it accepts almost all video/audio types.
