I was looking at this, as well. Both the Bears and Falcons are in second place by a game and both have undefeated teams ahead of them. I don't think (and neither do the Bears probably) that the Vikings will lose so the Bears really need this game to stay right behind them. So that might give the Bears extra incentive to play for the W harder.

The Falcons, on the other hand are probably thinking that the Patriots will beat the Saints, so they want the W to tie for first. But they may also realize that they won't lose any ground if they and the Saints both lose.
