Default Transfering Music from iPod to PC

So i am trying sync up my iPod with my new laptop (PC, it's currently formatted to a Mac), but it wants me to reformat the iPod...big no no since it's gonna erase all the content. I already saw lil youtube videos. After connecting iPod, it shows up as "Removable F Drive:", not my My name as it should.

Does anyone know how to do transfer from iPod to Pc without reformatting?

    Thanks in advance.

use itunes, simple as that. Itunes will see your ipod as a attachable hardware.

iTunes tells me to reformat saying, "Your ipod is Mac-formated, restore to factory settings".

What you have to do is google songs from ipod to itunes and get the free downloadable software. If you don't do this there is no other way to transfer your songs. Apple doesn't allow the songs to be transfered from the ipod through itunes.

they make a program for that called itunesplus, bought it a few weeks ago to pull songs off a nano and put them on a ipod touch for a friend. go to the computer department in best buys and look in the programs , its there. it will store everything on that program, u should be able to re-program the ipod and upload all the songs right back to it

They make versions for different systems, but I'm not real sure how it would work in your situation. Best bet would be to ask someone at the store.

    Music rescue works great

Life begins at 6000 RPMS.. You will notice an audible change in engine noise, large increase in acceleration and any female passengers will immidiately start to remove their clothing.

well sorry i just now read your thread but anyone else a program called music rescue by Kennettmusic is a great program, they have a unlimited trail it does 50 songs then it will ask you to buy it or hit cancel and then it will do the next 50 kinda annoying but free. if you want to buy the program it is not much either
