Came out hard in "Forever." Just sayin.' But I can't deny my favorite line.
"I stuck my dick inside this life until that bitch came"
Kanye is a douche of a person, but damn. I love his music.

was listening to it last nite on youtube great song fck drake tho
EM is still a clown and this song is old !
Drake is the shit. He is the best lyricist of the year for sure. He can say anything any other rapper has to say better.
Em has lost it. he never was a great rapper but he was diff at the time and had a huge fan base. he is good but his time has passed. he couldnt even stay on beat for this song.
drake is hot right now. he is a good rapper and has lil wayne backing him. its not about being gangster, its about saying what ever it is you are tryig to say with clever lyrics. drake is very witty and bring new prospective to the game. So far gone came out like a yr ago blues clues. he has a lot of other good shit out now.
I agree wit this. Feminem is definitely NOT the best in right now. There's some certain idiots that know shit about rap that think this.
I agree/disagree here. Drake IS hot. But he NOT a good rapper. He's just another cookie cutter rapper that sits perfect with Wayne because they are of the same mold. This is just what people are listening to right now. Sad, but true. Later, QD.
you're crazy. i said back in 2004 wayne was gonna blow up. this was when tha carter had just dropped. it tool like 4 yrs but he did. ppl are listening to this becuase ppl like brother ali, kids in the hall, etc are just marginal rappers. yeah they rap about conscious issues, but they arent good. Drake is witty, good with words, and good at changing his flow at times. I do miss the days of the mid 90s rap with tupac, biggie, ugk, etc. but this is the best we have now. jayz and wayne are on top and i do enjoy listening to them rap but other than that. i cant help that most of whats out thier is garbage. but i will say that drake is good.
I'm crazy because I don't think Drake is worth shit? I didn't call you crazy because you think he is. And it doesn't make you seem any more knowledgeable in rap because you "called it" that Wayne was going to blow up. Mainly because you were among millions of other people who said the same thing. Lil Wayne had actually been pretty hot 4-6 years before you "called it."

Not trying to be an asshole with that comment, dude, so hopefully we can actually have a civil conversation about something.
As far as the rest of your comment, yes that is all we have right now. Which is why I would thank God if I knew He was really there for Limewire so that I can download all the good shit that is out there still. Later, QD.
As a solo artist, he wasn't critically acclaimed. But, you may know this or not, he was very hot when he was really big into CMM. When The Hot Boyz was coming through, he (they) were tearing shit up. Went straight to the top in 1999-2000, taking the place of Master P and No Limit. They stayed on top for about 3-4 years until Juvenile left and a few others had a bit of beef. Wayne went solo (with his BFF in tow) and became who is is today. I know all this from being heavy into it at the time. I was studying (yes literally studying) the No Limit/Cash Money come up when they started rising fast in 1997. Later, QD.
i was heavy into it also. CMR blowing up was more juvi than any of the other hot boys. they were good at the time to but wayne was not a steller lyrcist. none of them were. juvi carried the group. juvi's first album "soulja rags" is what gave them the buzz and got the distribution deal for CMR. Wayne was just a youngster and his voice was whiney sounding. he was not a good rapper at all. his bling bling lyrics sucked and after the hotboys broke up he did his solo thing. the first 2 albums did well but the other 3 sucked. thats when he contemplated quitting rap. he almost left the label. then the mixtape "prefix" came out. i heard that and i was like whoa; this kid just got serious all of a sudden. then the carter and the rest is history
the Hot Boyz were a lot better than you're giving them credit for. Wayne sound, back then, exactly as he does now. Just a hair bit older. But it wasn't only Juvy that carried them into the 2000s. It was the entire crew. Things started breaking down when Juvy left and then Turk got locked up. Part of UNLV left and started talking about shit. But from when Wayne nearly dipped out, I agree with you on the story from there. Later, QD.
the hottest raper out right now IMO is J. Cole.
The new Kid Cudi is REALLY good too. I like Cudi because he is just different. hes mellow, and his beats/production are really really good. I like listening to different stuff, and he always comes with a different sound

i liked the hot boys. i bought a lot of the albums that they relased back then. im not taking away form them, i banged that cash money shit all the time. in retrospect i see that they were not that great. mannie fresh made hot beats and juvi was the leader of the group. bg, turk, and wayne were all just mediocore(spelling) rapper at that time. wayne wasnt but like 16, he hadnt mastered his craft yet. turk going to jail talking shit, unlv leaving talking shit, then bg beefing with wayne is what almost shut CMR down
Drake is only popular cause of wayne. Cole just got signed to Roc so his album should be coming soon.
Drake is more marketable, hes got the look, voice, sound, that people are buying right now IE hes similar to Little Wayne.
In terms of Raw Talent, Cole is way more lyrical than Drake IMO of course.
Just listen to The come up or the warm up. I can listen to the entire album without stopping, and there is no filler songs, its all just straight up hip hop.
Cole is not a radio hit, hes going to appeal more to the underground crowd.

correct
I know he has other new shit. I just haven't gotten it all yet lol.
But I agree about EM. And also, has anyone else noticed that Drake sounds a lot like Wayne. They sound so much alike that on one of the songs I have that they did together, I couldn't tell who was who lol. I'm guessing Wayne must be Drakes inspiration. His style is a lot like his, but a little better at the same time. I get lost in his words![]()
