Just beat the campaign, its short but the levels are extremely epic. No one is gonna be disappointed with the campaign, the detail in the levels is amazing.

played about 10 hours straight today on spec ops and checking out the multiplayer maps. great game and havnt even started the campaign

I think I pre-ordered it for PC...because I've always been more partial to mouse over controller for aiming...but I think I might switch to XBOX 360 because finding the time/place/space to play on a laptop while on a ship is difficult....that, and I already spend enough time at my PC....That, and I'll most likely have more IRL friends that I can play XBOX Live with over the complications of Voice Chat and trying to find the same PC Server...

That's retarded, and doesn't make sense.
All of the systems should allow search filters, and allow you to choose which game you want to join based on those filters (map, # of players, ping, game type (DeathMatch, Sabotague, etc.)...
No company in their right mind would disable those standard filters.
And for the life of me, I can't comprehend why they would want to disable "Favorite" servers.

You get to choose what you want to play (Team Deathmatch, Sabotage....etc) but it places you in a random room with people close to your skill level(pretty sure it checks your kill/death ratio). If you have friends on there, you simply add them to your friends list. When one of them, or yourself, is online....you just invite them to your party or they invite you...then whoever started the party selects the type of game you want to play.
Its really not bad at all, playing with different people is more fun....that way you cant get used to how they play so you never know where people are going.

but the major difference pc has made from console is the ability to have your own server and to control it with admins, changing maps to whatever you want instead of same rotation. adding custom maps custom sounds custom anything. playing with the people you've always played with on other games and not worrying about inviting them or losing someone and having to back out to invite again. almost all successfull pc games were set up like this IE Anything off of steam (CSS/DOD) a lot of ppl dont want to join a random game even if they choose team deathmatch, they want to choose which map they want to play.
I see what ya mean....i used to be a big PC gamer(Beta tested Asherons Call, Everquest, Ultima Online....etc) but stopped playing games forever and picked up a PS3 recently.
Wonder what made them change? Guess it was cheaper to design the game for all platforms the same instead of having the PC games different from anything else.
i mean it would be cheaper to start it off like that(if its just like the console where it chooses the person with best connection and makes them host) without having to run hundreds of different servers and hiring admins to patrol it until ppl started to buy there own servers and set them up. but that still doesn't make sense they made a lot of money of cod games.
maybe its to fight the people who torrent the games and makes it harder for them to join legit games online. seeing how they turned filters off to only being able to choose team deathmatch/ search and destry/ etc. they can't go in an actually choose a cracked team deathmatch server right?
I bet thats exactly why they did it......fawkin economy messing everything up.

In all honesty though. My laptop is a Dell XPS and will run most current games at 1920X1200 at respectable graphics settings, however, the framerate and occasional PC-related lag does kind of get on my nerves.
I think I'm due for a change of pace from PC to console, where at least the framerate is stable and at least the scenery is changing from my office to my family room. More windows. haha
honestly i do love better graphics, but i like comfort even more, which is why i play console more now. i mean what would you rather sit on, a desk chair, or a nice big soft couch? play on a 22" computer monitor or a 52"/62" tv?
oh and i also got tired of upgrading my pc every 3 months. bc what they say is true, whoever has the faster/better pc wins. there is NO DOUBT in my mind that is true. and on a console, everyone's got the same thing so nobody has the advantage, except for better internet connections but whats the use if the host is horrible lol.
and on a ps3 you can surf the web too, so pc doesn't get used a lot anymore. but i do keep my mini-dell laptop next to me just bc i like the full keyboard vs my mini keyboard attached to my ps3 controller.
i do miss free games on pc though lol.
its nice when you can lay back on the couch or chair and play instead of sitting in a computer chair. i dunno about you guys but I dont have the money to get a badass chair LOL

Not that I have to say this....but graphics and framerate go hand and hand, and it's always a losing battle for me.
I want my sharp and crisp graphics at high resolutions...but although in most games I'm okay with ~30fps, in an FPS it's like a negative handicap for me.
I'm thinking of how fun playing Halo 3 for 360 was because it was fast-paced, smooth, and easy to get a hang of.
I'm hoping that that MW2 will get me back into console gaming the way Halo 3 did.
Seems like MW2 will make for a good "have a couple friends over" kinda game, if your TV's big enough. :P
halo 3 never did anything for me, i dont know what it was. i mean i tried and tried to like that game, but i always got bored of it after about 30 min.
The funny thing is: I own it, but I don't play it.
When I think about when I DID play it and enjoy it, it was when I would go to my friend's house and it was me, him, and some other friends, and we'd take turns while sippin' back on some Yueng Ling's.
Something about playing a fun game with a buncha friends while everybody's buzzed...Maybe that's what it was! lol

No, new games that are just coming out need a boot disk until a new software for the dvd drive comes out.You put it in it reads for like ten seconds then you put the game in. Ill just get u that also haha

Most of the time when I play with friend we just text or call each other instead of using the mic. That way you dont have to deal with assholes who play music or do shit just to make noise on the mic.

yea most of the new games are all switching over to wave 4. got the activate.iso for it. mine only takes about 3-4 seconds to read, not to bad.
The new fw is out for th wave 4 games but its only for certain drives the fw is 1.61 if anybody wants to play add me gamertag is nocturnal3817
