Need a strat. game recommendation...

Been looking for another war style strategy game lately. Installed my old EEII and AoE3 last week and those games are a little old school and a bit to simple. Was looking at Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 or possibly the latest StarCraft, but havent played either of these games. Looking for a good strategy game thats better than EE and AoE but a bit more modern!

starcraft: broodwar is always a classic and I think you can get starcraft and the expansion Broodwar for like $20 (aka the battle chest)

dont want a real old classic, need something that can run with vista...kinda a more new game from the past year or so!

Sins of a Solar Empire is a pretty good "new" strategy game.

You realize that Brood War is the latest Starcraft? SC2 isnt out yet, still in beta testing. My recommendation would also be RA3.
