Anyone see it? If so how is it?

I saw it a couple of weekends ago. I thought it was pretty good, but about half the group I went with weren't huge fans.
The acting is great (as you'd expect), and I thought the historical aspect of it all was very cool. It had some good action in it (the sound of the thompsons made my pants tight), but it was pretty spaced out. The main complaint of the friends that didn't really enjoy it was that the pace of the movie was pretty slow (true). The movie definitely could have been cut down on time a bit, but this didn't really bother me because I can still enjoy a slow-moving story.
I'd say it's definitely worth a watch, but I'd probably recommend waiting for the rental.
They messed up part of the historical act. The lady at the movie theatre did not wear orange and white. She wore red, and became known as "The lady in the red dress".Originally Posted by Deke
^^ Didn't know that. But i liked he movie a lot as well. Like Deke said the acting was great (as you'd expect nothing less with Johnny Depp, Christian Bale) for every role. Good action, and what i thought was a terrific story. I always love Michael Mann's cinematography
I didn't really care for it at all.
I gave it a 7 out of 10
I thought it was OK, a little drawn out. Some of the action/gunfire scenes were just way to long. It turned what should have been an intense exciting action scene into something you just wanted to end. 15-20 minute gun fight scenes of people running through the woods is not entertaining IMHO.
I was very disappointed with it, not enough action and to much love story.
i liked it, i was still a lil disappointed from the previews, but still was a great movie.

Dillinger and the two women--Sage in an orange skirt that looked red in the light of the marquee--left the Biograph about 10:30 p.m. More than 20 law-enforcement officers were waiting. As the three walked south on Lincoln, Dillinger realized he was walking into a trap and bolted for the alley. Shots rang out. One bullet hit Dillinger in the back of the neck and exited through his right eye. That shot killed him.
I thought it was good, however, it was really long..I was starting to get bored towards the end..
I loved it....I wouldnt spend money to see it again but all in all a damn good movie.
I'll have to find the link where I saw it was all redOriginally Posted by antiv6
^Details like that don't really so much factor into me finding it historically interesting. It's a Hollywood movie. I know things are going to be changed (I'm sure there were some other inaccuracies quite a bit more substantial than that). I'm just saying I found things like Dillinger's life, the forming of the FBI, and such very interesting.
i read somewhere she did wear that color, but the lighting made it look red, or something like that.Originally Posted by LS3_KID
