Watchmen
There doesn't seem to be a thread on this movie in this section so I'll make one.
Story was excellent and the style the movie was done in was equally impressive. HOWEVER, I had no idea there was going to be that much gore and excessive violence in the movie. Granted, I never read the graphic novel, but this movie really pushed the boundaries on depicted violence. Women getting shot through the leg, bodies exploding, arms graphically broken, pregnant women getting gunned down, ect... I actually had to leave the movie about 1.5 hours into it because my girlfriend couldn't handle the movie anymore and she can handle some pretty heinous stuff. Just to give you an idea.
LOTS of slow motion, but in all the right places. Just be forewarned that every time people get ready to fight, there's going to be a LOT of blood and guts going everywhere.
