    Default since there's no one in the gaming section,i'll put this here.

    ok i can't seem to get my xbox live to work.every time i try to test connection on it,it says the network adapter is wired but my IP address always fails.i have it plugged into my linksys wireless router.reps to any helpers.

    if this gets deleted i'll understand lol.
    ps-its already in the gaming section.

    you can login to your router and look at the attached devices list and see if it's on the list to start off with

    -access the router using http://192.168.1.1
    -go to "status"
    -click on "local network" subtab and there will be a tab named DHCP Clients Table, this will show all the attached devices to the router
