    Default 2012 (The Movie)

Anyone checked this out yet? They've got a nice viral marketing campaign going on just like Cloverfield did. Check it out. Looks cool as all hell.

I'm all for seeing this movie but the first thing they show is so improbable that it just doesnt work for me. I'm a geographer.... if monks in Tibet get destroyed by an ocean.... there just isnt enough mass in the oceans to cause that kind of displacement sorry. The USGS did a study of oceanic displacement if the worlds three largest bodies of ice were to melt. Lets just say the results are bad but this shit is just insanity.

Wel, if you know about 2012 and planet 'X' the displacement is not caused by melting ice, but by an asteroid or meteor, or planet chunks hitting....

Lol you're right but the trailer doesnt give away anything about planet X. I checked out the other sites and gathered that later.

This movie seems like it is about the poles shifting (i.e. the water coming over the himalayas). I doubt I will see this due to I am against this idea.
