Apparently it got totaled on a challenge sometime during the show and a lawsuit is pending. The guy says the show portrayed them as d-bags but its editing and producers. You can decide for yourself but that thread kind of explains a little about the car and the accident. It gets good around pg 5 or so.

The EVO guys have no standing. This isnt the first season of the show so they should know the type of stunts they will have them doing. I wont read the thread though cause I dont want to spoil too much. I knew they werent going to be even close to winning anyways.

as of right now, i'm going to say i hope team solstice pulls it off. they seem like a good team, with good nav skils and they aren't complete assholes about anything.

Richard Rawlings, multiple time rally champ, ran an Avalance in the early 2000's. It's all about fuel range and navigation. In 2007 he ran a Caprice with a Cadillac Escalade motor swapped in it, though I'm not sure how he did that year.
As for Team Solstice having good nav skills, I think its a little premature to say that. We've only seen one leg, and they admitted it was thier "home turf". I think they will do good, but i think its too early to say they're good at navigation.
