The thing about Wayne is he can entertain. Its one thing to be a rapper/lyricist, but its also about being an entertainer. A lot of the shit he says makes no sense, but is entertaining.

Auto Tune is not the same thing as a vocoder/talk box. So saying Lil Wayne mastered that sound is not a correct statement. What Lil Wayne and T Pain are doing is taking aprogram that is supposed to keep a singers voice in key, and turning up all the settings to get that synth sound. Auto-tune does the same thing, it uses a vocoder. Its what T-pain, Kanye, and Wayne are using. You can change the pitch matching however you want. Thats why many artist try it on their own before realizing you actually have to know what you are doing.

sooo uuh you do know everyone uses auto tune right? and has for many many years? especially country singers in concert. the way it was intended to be used masks the imperfections between pitch shifts. if you adjust the program to make the pitch changes more lazy you get the tpain effect. we used it on a couple of tracks..its a nice effect.
but back to the subject..when hes not playing around or being obviously lazy..he rips records. on top of that he sells like crazy and plays in every club ive been to haha. soo wayne=success!
