Default Song Suggestions To Be Learned On Guitar

I'm looking to learn how to play some new material, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for songs I should learn. Guitar emphasis is a must. Nothing outlandishly difficult, but just a cool song with a guitar part.

This is my current list of stuff to learn:
    Stevie Ray Vaughn - Lenny
    Dispatch - The General
Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Aways With You

Bigger the gauge, the bluesier it gets.

Dave Brubeck- Take 5 -Awesome on guitar.
    Led Zep- The Rover
    Toto- Rosanna
    White Zombie- Supercharger Heaven
    Natalie Merchant- Carnival

I mean I'm a drummer so what do I know but these are fun to play with my friends when they come over.

Between the Buried and Me- Selkies: The Endless Obsession
    same- The Primer

and anything off their album Colors. It's actually really good to learn with, they play all over the board. Good for teaching you to really spread your fingers when you play.

    Oh I know.

His strings ranged from .11, to .13s when his hands we're feeling up to it.

I have the SRV Texas Special pickups in my Strat, as well as some pretty sweet sounding tube amps I inherited when my dad died. I originally tried to my Strat up for .13s but they were too crazy, and I didn't set compensate with trus rod enough. But oddly enough before attempting to set it up again, I put on a set of .11s and the action was perfect.

I already know Swing Life Away, but I will look into the other ones. Avenged Sevenfold and SOAD are always fun.

I'll give the Al Di Meola another go, but since I've never taken classical guitar lessons that might be out of my leauge.

True on the string gauge, but you also have to play within you limits and work your way up. And a lot of it depends on your playing. Look at Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. Dude played with .09s and still made sound epic.

I just listened to the solo from Rosana, and it sounds pretty cool. I'll give it a whirl as well.
