    Wink Bluegrass anyone?

ok i know this sounds pretty weird and/or lame, but do or have any of you listened to bluegrass before? i have always liked it. it honestly takes more skill to play the banjo and any of the famous artist today will ever have... such as...

hael yeah! I was raised on grass. Man there is no music to me that takes greater skill than good ole grass pickin.
If you like fast banjo picking or claw-hammer, here is a couple good rags to listen to
Bluegrass Mountain Medley by the Soggy Bottom Boys
Bending the strings, flatt and scruggs
    Banjo pickin, flatt and scruggs
    In Constant Sorrow, Dan Tyminski
    Cumberland Gap, Flatt and scruggs
    Shuckin the corn, " "
    Fiddle and Banjo, " "
Doc Watson and Grandpa Jones are also great pickers.
I'm suprised anyone else on here likes grass.

How can you have a Bluegrass thread and not mention Ricky Skaggs?

I didn't know Steve Martin played bluegrass. That's AWESOME!

I like bluegrass, but I have no idea about any names/bands/etc... I just know I like it.

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.

Do you know that you just missed the cabbagetown bluegrass and chili cookoff by a week? Great festival with a bunch of solid bluegrass bands playing all day. I couldnt comment on the chili personally since it was all gone by noon. You'll have to check it out next year.
