As much promise as Vick had, he was OVERRATED. He was far from the most accurate QB in the NFL when he played. He got all of those endorsements because when a play fucked up he could just run it 50 yards. He is one of the best athletes to ever play, but Ryan will be a much better QB. Everyone rides Vick's nuts because if you look at the crazy runs he would make he seems much better than he really is. Ryan is overrated too, but Vick would not have done as well had he started right out of college. Ryan isn't that special, but he probably will be in a couple years. After Vick's stupid mistake we had to get a new franchise player to represent Atlanta, and Ryan will fill Vick's shoes and more imo. If we can improve our running game (namely by not picking a stupid ass run play everytime) then Vick will be a thing of the past.

i dont think ryan will necessarily fill vicks shoes because of how much vick amped up the franchise and that QB position, but he will be heard down in atlanta. i dont think vick was necessarily overrated, but he was not mediocre, chad pennington, david carr, joey herrington now those guys are mediocre.

Ryan won't generate the same excitement, but personally I would rather see the Falcons win. Granted Vick didn't have as good of a team to work with, but he was pretty inconsistent. Like I said, his athleticism was his strong point, not his actual skill as a QB. I was and still am a big fan of Vick, but I'd be very willing to bet Ryan will surpass what Vick was within a few years as a QB. Only time will tell I suppose.

And as for Vick going to Detroit, I would hate to see that. He needs to be put on a good team so he can fully develop his skill and decision making as a QB. When he was with us he had to do too much to support the team, and I think that might have held him back.

yeah i hear what you saying about him having to do so much which probably was not so good for him or any player to have to do. i think adrian peterson is one of those athletes as well thats going to be expected to do too much cause the vikings be running him alot.
