Your opinion lacks one thing. Most of the folks that are looking down on today's rap have nothing to compare it to. Sure they may have heard (some of) the old school joints, but they never experienced it first hand. The reason why I feel like I have a valid say in this is because I HAVE been at the point of rap's beginning. I bought Sugar Hill Gang's very first album. When it first came out. I bought all of Run DMC's shiit the days they came out. I was listening to Kurtis Blow, Busy Bee and The Treacherous Three when it was brand new funk. I've listened to rap change over all the years. Listening to rap when it first came on the scene is an experience none of you guys will EVER understand. It was new. It was different. It was a feeling that no one had felt before. It was awesome. I loved it from the first time I heard it. You can't take a younger cat and throw in a Grandmaster Flash album now-a-days and expect him to have that same feeling. You know what I'm saying?

You are right about that. But if you'll notice, most of the stuff I post (downloads and videos) are stuff that cater to listeners of today's rap. There's quite a few WC albums I can post up but I don't. I put it out there, even if I can't stand it, because I have something that someone else may like and if I do, I'll give it to that person.
