    Default A/V Help

Trying to get together a new entertainment center. I am thinking about this tv
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16889187078
    This home theater
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882103292
    and I have a PS3

What all cables will I need, to make everything work together? I know the PS3 has HDMI out and Digital optical out. But the home theater only has 1 digital optical in. And 1 hdmi in/out. The tv has 1 digital optical out and 3 hdmi.
Sorry if this is not making sense, I am trying to get everything together where I wont have to switch wires or anything.

ok w/ HDMI (it carries the video and sound so you don't have to mess w/ the opticla out for sound) all you need is 2 cables (for the PS3) 1 for the PS3 to the receiver and one to go from the receiver to the tv. but personally those all-in-one surround sound systems are crap. I would buy a good receiver that has a multiple HDMI in so you can run more than just the PS3 through the stereo. oh, and check out secondact.com better deals than NewEgg.

Thanks a lot, kind of stuff I was looking for. Lol I thought about it in the shower that I did not need the optical out, I was not thinking good this morning.

And I was just looking at the ease of a all-in-one system, bout to spend some time looking at just recievers/spks

well I have an old a$$ receiver right now (like it was made in 1974) but it puts out amazing amounts of power for what I have I just need to update for my PS3 since I'm looking at a Sceptre 32" LCD 1080p from Costco ($600.00). but I like playing certain games on a tube TV mainly due to dark area issues in RFOM. But piecing a home stereo together is alot better, might cost more but in the long run a speaker goes you just buy a new speaker instead of having to mismatch or burn out your all-in-one set.

Sceptre is pretty good, my comp monitor is a 21" and I have not had any problems out of it over a year

yeah names on electronics don't really mean much now a days since the technology isn't new now. I just want to upgrade and get rid of my 27" tube (still a good tv) since I want to get the pull potential of my PS3 on the BluRay movies I have, also on certain games

yeah, I hooked it up on my Dad's 32" and played COD4 and watching the Planet Earth BluRay's kinda made me want to get one, plus if I'm switching the receiver I might as well spring for the TV
