Yea, you never see any PS3s breaking.....because noone has any games to play on them.I'm sure a 360 wouldn't get the RROD if you just watched movies on it.
I've had both systems and I prefer my PS3 over my previous 360. The layout of XBOX Live is very nice, but having PSN be free helps me get past the layout issues. Not much to complain about in terms of titles since the PS3 is now moving along at full speed. My 80GB is backwards compatible so being able to replace my older PS2 without losing my titles was a definite plus. The Blu-Ray player is a nice touch as well.
Also, I HATE the XBOX controllers. One thing Sony definitely did right was keep the classic controller styling.

The idiots that are still arguing about ps3 having no games make me laugh. It's about quality, not quantity 360 nutswingers.
Understandable. All the 360 fanboys I've dealt with have turned me into an *******. I actually like both, wouldn't mind having a 360 at all. It's just the ps3 exclusives are the only games I'm really into with the exception of gta4. Dead Rising was fun as hell though.
In my opinion from all the research I've done.....
The Ps3 is the FUTURE in gaming!
It might be weak in online features but it has a very strong blu-ray dvd player which outclasses HD quality & quantity. In 2009(next year), all the good games are finally coming out! You're talking about games I am gonna get and I'm talking about HIT GAMES!!! Examples are Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy Versus XIII & Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5 and lastly Street Fighter IV!!! There are more games coming out that are good but those are the main ones that'll make 2009 best games of the year. Basically you need a bit more money to spend compared to the xbox360 to fully utilize one...The prices you pay for the ps3 is still incredible to how much and how long it took to make the ps3. Think about it...Sony FTW!
Xbox360
It's also a great system and HAS better online capabilities...But the ps3 has better graphics in general. There are alot of gaming choices for this system but I don't believe this system will be the future in gaming. Personally, there aren't any good games on this system for me to buy a console and buy some games.. Usually I only go for the top of the line and in my preference; the ps3 still owns in games & performance.
ps3 wins!! because it all depends on your preferences and the reason why the ps3 wins is because all I really care about is the games that are out or coming out and the performance overall in graphics and dvd playback.![]()
It is the future....and Sony will always rock my socks
xbox360 is dramatically dropping their prices. If ps3 doesn't budge their price they are going to loose.
MS is following Ninty and Sony's strategy for killing the saturn. The saturn was too expensive to produce, so Ninty and Sony lowered the price of their systems so low that Sega couldnt afford to equal the price point. Thus killing off the Saturn in like 97.
It will be interesting to see how Sony keeps gamers interested in buying a console with less games for more money.
The ps3 will have to drop prices before the holidays season to stay up and not look over priced, like it did when it launched. But sony lowering the ps3 price hurts stand alone blu-ray players and so risks killing any sales they might get.
