Yes, I am asian, and what do you mean "Everything you've seen I saw years ago"? Get a clue, you're not the only one who's been watching anime for years now.

However, the anime boom really hit hard fairly recently when Toonami started airing about 4-5 years ago.
FMA is overrated. I've yet to see the movie, but the series wasn't a big hit with me. Also, just because a series makes references to things such as religion, it doesn't automatically make it good. Evangelion sparked me as superior in this aspect because it took these religious symbolisms and lore, and tied them together while still keeping them in context with their original aspects. I dunno, FMA was decent for what it was, but I couldn't get into it.
I will agree that Paranoia Agent was a fairly good anime, but it came off as a rather bland suspense anime. There was nothing there to really think about and the ending was surprisingly gay.
For someone who's bragging about being in anime for years now, everything you've listed so far has been fairly recent. How about some real old-school stuff? Green Legend Ran was my first anime when I was 7. What's yours?
